outerwears how well do they work

Im thinking of getting a 39 pwk and I want to elimatate the air box but still need some water protection. For splashing throw some mud and puddles. so do outerwears work?

Lipp, I have an Outerwear on mine and have not had any problems what so ever.

Chuck (99 Scrambler 400, DynoPort Pipe, DG Bumper, K&N w/Outerwear, ITP Holeshots on Douglas .190's, New Jets and a few other goodies!)
