Hey guys,
Has anyone outhere experianced a gas leak on their 03 sportsman 600 ??
Mine is leaking on the bottom of the tank from both hoses.
Should be covered under warentee right ??

That happened to mine after I brought it home, had 0.4 miles on it. It had a small gas leak that came from one of the fittings, and gas ran down one of the lines and dripped on the floor. I called the dealer, took it in, and they fixed it no problem. It hasn't done it since. That is the only time mine has been to the dealership. I bought it on Dec. 5, 2002, and now it has 102 hours and 595 trouble-free miles, and when I take it to the trails, I do ride it pretty hard, streams, rocks, a lot of full throttle blasts, and 2-4 feet jumps. It's fun jumping that big ole thing!!

Mine is going in Monday. The dealer will fix my gas leak ( warentee ), change all the fluids,
and install hot grips, thumb warmer , and moose 60" county plow.

Winter is a comin , and I really think we are going to get hit ~H A R D ~ this year.

Polaris sent me a letter that said if I dident attend there atv training coarse they would void my warranty did you attend.

 

Thats a bunch of crap! I don't think they can do that, I thought the videotape WAS the safety course?. MN sportsman, The fuel line fittings that thread into the tank were leaking on mine a little permatex on the threads is all you need to do .

 

Well I have bought many Atvs and many motorcycles, raced for years and years, and still ride very hard. But when I bought our 04 sportsman 400 for casual riding 3 days ago, My wife and I took the course, just cause it seemed like such a hassel NOT to, and the final papers had check boxes as to whether we took the course or not. I took it so My wife would feel comftorable on it and take it also. I do not no the ramifications of not taking the course, but it sure seemed like a big deal.
