Has anyone tried the RCR stage 1 upgrade on the Xplorer 400. If not then please let me know of a good combination of goodies to buy. I want my Xplorer to Rip. At the same time I want it to be able to run at 1/4 throttle without loading up after 2 minutes.

Thanx,
gnadz

I'm gonna get that kit in about 2 weeks. It's the most complete kit that I've seen.

Change rear sprocket from a 36 tooth to the 34 tooth and gain 5% higher top end speed. Try adjusting your air screw and main jet sizes before you pay all that money on a HP kit.

Hey Odin, I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about changing the back sprocket, You gain 5% more top end but do you lose and low end power, and if you do can you tell a big difference on the power loss?? And by changing that Sprocket do you need to change anything on the front end for the 4WD?? Will it screw the 4WD up at all?? Thanks alot, I might do this to my new EXP. Thanks Bosty

Since the Polaris 4wd system is part time one would think no damage would ocur. The 34 tooth sprocket is a polaris part you can order right out of the accessory catalog.

Yes, you will lose some low end torque. Are you going to run stock tires? Are you putting on larger 26" tires? Mine is plenty fast after I adjusted my carb. I left my sprocket stock since I am running larger tires.
