Well since I wasn't going to touch the Carb since I wasn't exactly sure which to adjust I looked at striders e-mail.

Right now my Predator is strapped on the lift in the air waiting for me to get the time to finish maintenance so lifting the front end wasn't possible.

Instead I shook the macine and opened the gas talk to triple check I wasn't low. I heard a spudder so I shook the machine again harder. hit the Start button it backfired the 1st revolution and was running on the second one. It purred like a kitten. I can't wait to finish the maintenance and get a chance to take it for a rip with the AC Pro Pegs. Well... as soon as I can install them too.

Woot Woot!!!

you either have to drill or cut to get to the fuel air mixture screw, nervous about doing it but it really is queit easy.

their is a brass block that is pressed in as a cover, no idea why. Sorry that I don't have a pictre of it

I would like to get a different set for the winter. Last year we barely had any snow and I drove off the trail to get out of the groomer's way and almost couldn't get moving again.

Ok so that would be the Pilot screw on the rear bottom?

If this is the one what all needs to be done to remove the plug? Can I just spin the carb around upside down, drill a pilot hole and then grab an easy out or do I have to remove the Carb from the machine, drain it and do it that way? I'm thinking the later. Draining the carb is just done with the drain screw on the bottom right?

Looks like I'll be getting to know how to work on carbs real quick.

One last question. Does everyone rejet for the winter? Last March when I finally got a chance to get out I did not rejet and it ran awesome at 4 degrees outside.

TLD, if you want to save money for winter tires, heres what i do. now i dont know if the treads on your tires are big enough, but i use ice screws that you drill into the tread, then drill out in the summer. works great and take no more then 5 minutes to put in or out.

From one TLD to another, to access the pilot screw, it's on the bottom of the carb. Yup, drain it first, and make sure the gas is off. You can loosen the clamp on the boot and rotate it. It's not the round orifice directly in front of the carb bowl, but the next one forward of that. You can begin to drill it out w/ a 1/8" drill bit. If you go slow, they normally just catch and spin out. If not, you can give it a little tweak with a 1/8" punch.

Ah yes, nothing better than metallic black in the sun......unless it's carbon fiber
