Default Any hopped up Explorer 400's out there?

I have a 2000 Explorer 400 with a few mods and am looking for some help getting everything working together. I have a dynoport pipe, V-Force reeds, 39 mm. carb, Bubba trail porting and it runs OK but I cant seem to find the right clutching combo, from 3/4 to full throttle it does nothing but waste fuel. I would appreciate any help at all.

You really should buy a clutch kit and pipe from the same manufacturer. They tune them and set them up to work together. Now it is just trial and error. Definitely if you do get it figured out let everyone know.

I have done all my mods through RCR. I'm running the stock weights with a polaris orange spring in the primary and I have a HPD violet in the roller clutch. It pulls real good all the way through, although if you punch it up in the 3/4 range its not an arm jerker but it definately accelerates and its still a heavy quad. If you give Rick a call and tell him what you have and your mods he can probably get you right in the ball park on where your clutching should be. It would depend alot on what rpm the dynoport runs at. RCR Good luck.
