Default Carb Question, on a Scrambler...

Well I'm having a problem.... 'but off coarse'
I took some PiX, Take a look
(Well the 1st pic is suppost to be my Air Hose, The 2nd pic is a closer look @ the carb.)
Well Gas is coming out the hose... *I have No-Clue*
So do you see the hose goes right up to the carb, well theres an allen key screw there. Some guys told me to loosten it to drain the carb, So I did & Gas just poored out of it... Non stop!! So I left it for a few, then I'm like ok this is enough..it keeps coming out.. So I tighten it back up & it stopped..
well it's still acting up, It has gotten some power back, but still must be flooded.

Now why/how could this of happen?
I have no clue, I rode it a lil today, was woking fine... Got her muddy so when I got home I washed her off, & after that is where it started to act up, So I thought it must of gotten water in the carb, no big deal... Then I take out the air hose & I smelled Gas...
Well I also took off the airbox to make sure there was no water in there, There wasn't.. Dry

So does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?
Or any idea on what it could be?
Well thanx for any help..

Lataz

Default Carb Question, on a Scrambler...

The hose is a vent hose with a one way check valve. Something you could try is turn off your gas and drain the carb bowl, but if I had to guess I would say your float is stuck(sometimes I don't know my a$$ from a hole in the ground though). You haven't had your Scrambler very long have you? I think your best bet would be take to the dealer.

One of these days I'm going to learn to read my reply before I post. You'd think I was "in the bag" on some of them. At least I know the edit button works. lol

Don't you just love when that happens. It's the same with cars. Running like crap. Take it to the mechanic. Runs great for him and he's looking at you like you've been smoking something. lol I think it's those d@mn gremlins!

Hey i think that may be your overflow for the carb. I know on my scrambler it will leak out at idle do to vibratons of the motor. I dont have that check valve on mine though.

Default Carb Question, on a Scrambler...

Ok Well I'm gettin Disappointed in this quad!!!
Why, I only really rode it twice, & it has gotten Messed up 4X... I mean this thing has less then 20hrs, & it keeps acting up w/ this damn carb.... Sorry to be venting, but damn....

Anywayz another thing happen Yesturday, I was messing w/ that screw by the carb, I think it has to do w/ the idle, & it wouldn't stay started, & once it would & I'd rev her up, she back fired loud as hell, & kept back firing everytime she would start!! It's just annoying that the carb keeps flooding... So I dunno... Let me know if you have any ideas on wtf is wrong...
So tonite I'm going to adjust the idle, Hopefully it wil stop back firing!! I know it's getting to much gas, so will see... thanx

Default Carb Question, HELP!!

NYC, your float level is set to high. Have your dealer adjust the float level. The tube is the overflow tube. It will make it backfire and run rich.
