I just installed a Comet HPQ-103 clutch on my 1999 Scrambler (stock pipe-no mods) 500 A-1 arms, White spring about 2900 RPM engagement speed.
I'll probably put a pink spring 2400 RPM engagement in,just looking for anyone that has set up one of these clutches.

 

I have a pink spring if you want it.....basically cover postage.

 

I have the comet with the pink spring and a-1 arms in my 99 srcambler. I just installed the pink spring today. The black spring was just too high of engagement. The pink seems much better but I havent been on the trails yet. Hope to have an answer this weekend.

What dose the comet clutch do for performance on the srcammy and do you get anymore top speed? I was thinking about a comet clutch but i don't know much about them. Were can you get one and how much are thay?

Grass drag in 2 weeks I'll let you know how it runs. right now I have to white spring (2900 RPM) pulls hard but I do mostly trail riding no Mods,I am going to try Pink about (2400 RPM)

 

How do you like the pink spring any better?
White (step between Pink and Black was still a little high for me (2900 RPM)
