I have a 03 scrambler their a very well built quad as far as performance goods the 500 engine has tons of power stock and with some little mods you can unleash the monster that is hidden in side, anther nice thing about the scrambler is the 4x4 and its not fake 31/2 wheelie drive its true 4 wheel drive I have never got stuck in mud or any other type of terrain. If you like to go pretty fast, jump, play in the mud were 2x4s can't and have lots of power the scrambler is for you.. Also some people will tell you that a 600lb Polaris auto cant wheelie well there wrong I can ride a wheelie for as long as I want to.

Hope this helps you out..

I just have to agree I love my 03 scrambler.Just think about it all those light raptors and 400exs and so on,sitting at the bottom of a muddy hill or stuck half way up "no traction" as you look at them and with a click of your thumb you are in 4x4 True 4wheel just walk on by... Yeah they might beat you in a race across an open field (and even then its not a blow out) when the going gets tough we get through. If racing on a track is your bag .then by all means get the light racers. But if trails hills and mud and jumps are your thing then You won't be dissapointed.. thats all i got to say about that he he he

I must agree with the other 2 guy's. I also have a 03 scrammy 500 and love it. As for wheelies I don't understand any comment about a scrammy not being able to wheelie. Mine wheelies just hitting the throttle from a standstill. It is a little harder to keep the front end up simply because of it's auto design.

Isn't it chain drive thought front and back?

Go Here and check out a couple of quicktime vids....this is my 03 Scrammy. I let my buddy ride it through the mud because he had a 2wd Scrammy and wouldn't even attempt it---neither would either of the 2 Z-400 guys

And I believe an 01 is chain in the rear only....not sure but I think the 2 chain driven rides were pre-2000
