Just got an older Trail Boss 250, I think it is an 85? How can I tell for sure? I will need parts for it as soon as I identify it for sure. I do need a service manual first.

 

Look on the frame under the seat and a sticker may still be there - The first 2 numbers after the "W" indicate the year model (ie. W85******). If that sticker is no longer there, the engine tag down by the rope starter may indicate the year.
