Alaskaweasel I don't mean this in a mean way but maybe you don't ride aggressive enough once you get used to the way a IRS suspension handles on the sportsman there is no solid axle can hold me a light on trail or flat land roads. You just have to get the feel of it by pushing it to its limits I have heard Bill C. talk of this and I truly know what he means, you are not going to convince anybody that when rideing sideways on a slant that a solid axle is better and far as log hopping, I am talking about going up steep stuff where it is uneven I have been places where a solid axle may have tipped...come to WV weasel and I will show you where you can put IRS to the max.

ATVING: Not to be mean either, but what does WV have that AK don't. NOTHING! Oh, i forgot WV has trees, Alaska don't (forgot i live in Kansas really, it's just called Alaska). Come to AK and I'll have you pull a bull moose out of the Swamp or mountains, We'll see where the butt end of your IRS ends up. Until then happy 4x4ing in WV.

Oh! by the way, isn't odd that the best cornering atv's have solid axles on them. All race ATV's do last time i looked. Lets have Polaris put the first IRS on a race unit and see what happens. We will have you test ride it for us with your superior riding skills. I wouldn't dare try Only raced 3 wheelers since i was 8. But it does take a special person to ride a Polaris. We all know how you feel for your product, whether BAD or good.

AK,weas-I never gave much salt to the handling of an IRS but I had all racers until I wanted to slow down a bit and get a more multipurpose quad. My dealer set me up with a 98 500 scrambler,I loved it could'nt beleive an auto could be so fun,
but it lacked a little on tight rocky trails. So I added a 335 sportsman to the line-up and the IRS is awesome. The only downfall of IRS is power loss from shaft drive,so you probably won't see an IRS on a sport model. It would be a sad day to see a racer with IRS.

Bosty22: Don't try to change the subject. We all know Polaris owners like you Tim, and ATVING are the real Experts. You would have to be, you spend more time fixing them than riding them. Of course i wouldn't go any lower than that unlike you. AND on your other subject , well I admit, no one is joined at the hip like Polaris owners. They can't help but to have P---- E---!

The Reason I say "P"Envy is why else are you here??? why not go to the HONDA forum or whatever machine you ride and talk among your friends there??? I have never been to any other forum because I don't own any other brand or see a need to ENVY any other Brand like you do to have to go to that Forum and spread your useless ATV knowledge. If you have noticed all the polaris owners and stick together about the IRS because it's a better ride and we like it. You must have nothing better to do than visit other Forums and try to pizz them off. Do us all a favor Go to where you can talk to friends who have the same opinions as you. Did you really think that you were going to come to the polaris Forum and get polaris owners to agree with you that IRS sucks. Come on!! Give me a break! If you are such an ATV and suspension expert then awnser this question, (and let me say again I am not slamming the ruby this is an honest question?) How can the ruby have a better ride then any other honda and a Sportsman when it has the same rear end as the rancher??

bosty22: Well once again you make yourself look so smart. If you were we would've noticed it odd for a expert like your self to know so much about my product to. I have owned Kaw, Yam, Hon, and Polaris products. OF course your vast brain must of to. We all know your just mad the INVENTOR of everything (including the internet)(POLARIS) didn't think of the beltless tranny first. OF course you got your head so far up your rear you would post about a article of a machine YOU wouldn't even know ANYTHING about. Of course we all know if it had been a Polaris it would of all been TRUE. With that brain it is clear why you drive a Polaris.

OH, and i see more of your people in Honda's forum than the other way around, just ask your b--- b------ tim and atving. Since you obviously can't know anything about ATV either, the answer to your question about the Ruby's ride is, Think hard, if the Ruby has a 1" more travel even with the SAME rear end which it is claimed to have, you are going to have a better ride than before. SIMPLE. The other hondas like the 450es i believe had 5.9 inches of travel, The Ruby has claimed to have 6.9. What the heck do you think will happen? IT will ride rougher or the same. Not to mention 600lbs, won't help the ride. USE YOUR HEAD AND DON"T POST STUPID POSTS AND YOU DON"T GET OBVIOUS ANSWERS.

Weasel you are one those Honda fans that thinks a straight axle can have 10" of ground clearance uder the diff. housing skid plate ,well get out a tape and check out the real word clearance on the Rubicon. And 1" more travel is not going to make a straight axle ride like a cloud over another.

6.7" rear wheel travel may be a big deal in Honda forum but here in the Polaris forum that is the min. exspected with the shortest 6.5"(Mag.) 8.5"(xplorer)and 9.5" (Sportsman).

Another Honda-Polaris bashing, with nothing being accomplished.

Honda owners & Polaris owners are brand loyal, you will never convince the other to change brands.

Each has its own strengths & weaknesses! The Rubicon will force Polaris to make some adjustments. Its like a tennis match! I guess people are just to blind to see that. All we want to do is brag about how bad *** my machine is & yours isn't crap.

Give me a break, we can all do with out that!

Oh well, I will let the children continue their little war............................................... .................
