Default Noise from new 700 Sporty...

Hey, just picked up a new '04 700 Sportsman and there seems to be a sound (like a clunk) when the machine engages and disengages.
Don't have the sound with my 4 year old 500 Sportsman. This new machine runs and sounds fine, just a noise when hitting the throttle from startup in high gear. Sound seems to be related to tranny / belt / clutch area. Is this the belt engaging the tranny in this model or something more sisister? Any comments appreciated. Thanks I4NI

learn to live with it.....it's because of the ebs. they all do it. i don't like it either especially around guys with other types of quads, of course they all laugh and call it junk untill we hit the gas and i'm out front throwin' rocks and dust in their face...lol

Don't worry about the noise, all the 700's do it. It's just driveline slack. You will get use to it.
