Default Snow Plow

I just picked up the Polaris sportsman deluxe plow set-up. I almost bought the Glacier system but dont like the mount plate staying beneath just cuz it may get banged up when riding (we ride on a very rocky terrain).
I also came very close to buying the Swisher plow system which I wld highly recommend giving a look at, its very similiar to the sportsman deluxe system in that it completely comes off the quad with just two pins (= no wet knees unlike the midmount set up) so there arent a clearance issues to deal with. The deciding factor for me goin with Polaris was the free shipping they're offering, overall ur talking anywhere from $50-75 savings. However, upon receipt of the Polaris delivery I found that I need yet another part!!! Since Im using a winch for a lifting mechanism they want to rape ya for another $60 for the winch mount/plate.....Had I known that (or saw the *Note*) I might of gone with the Swisher set-up.

wayne: very cool set up bud!! feel like making me a plate since you appear to be so crafty?!?! lol

SP700 users:

Are you guys using those rubber spacers for the front shocks when the plow is loaded up?

Mine rides fine without the rubber spring stiffeners. I bought a set but more for when I put my 27" mudlites on to keep them from rubbing the fenders on bumps.

"What Rubber spacers ?? "

The ones Polaris advertises in their plow section to keep the front end from sagging too much. I think theyre for the lighter duty quads moreso than the 600/700.

thnx for the reply upnort!

Yeh, I use the rubber spacers while plowing. It keeps the front end up when you lift the plow.
