ya id be very pissed to.. i start shakin after a week if i dont get to ride..

If it was found to be a defect, raise holy hell with the dealer.
When you are done telling them off, call Polaris and start chewing them out.
2 months without a ride is unacceptable if it blew because it was defective.
Does the lemon law apply to quads?
If it does, tell them to keep it and return your $$$.

Sounds more like a medical problem....should get that checked out at the doctors office

I have three freinds that have the Predator and ,my -self so we are 0 for 4 on engine and tranny probs, (knock on wood) on a recent trip to little sahara sand dunes I met a guy that had an early run '03 and his was pinging when he tried to shift. I am assuming that they found the prob in the early runs and fixed in the late run '03's...but just a thought.

i have had 4th gear go out in mine 2 times. both times the shift fork was bent causing the 3 engagement dogs to round off. polaris took care of the first happening, i had to fix it this last time. it cost me 200 dollars and my own labor. i found there to be a flaw in my transmission. i took it apon myself to fix it by making a thick shim and moving the gears closer together. if your making over 50 hp then you might knock 4th out in your predator. my bike has a ported head high comp piston and converted to alcohol. no problems until i converted to alcohol. it makes more torque, so i think thats what caused 4th to go. although my 4th gear may only be isolated to me only, but then again why has the 04 been changed?

vilnrk, thats what the dealer told me they actually found to be the cause of my motor blowing, the fourth gear had a flaw in the casting, a peice broke off inside. I saw the gear it didnt look to good there were actually 3 chucks missing from it but one area looked like it had been broke off before the others. I dont know Im just losing my mind over this, all I think about is a new quad 25hrs to be infact and now its junk! In my opinion not to reliable I might have to sell my roots and move onto other ventures.

I have a friend who is a dealer. He just sold a predator with 35 hours on it and two days later the guy came back with it with a blown motor. Because of all the problems he is having he will no longer sell Polaris vehicles. Predator is one of my top choices still, but I am hearing a lot about problems with getting the parts through warranties. I will find out and get back to you the process he took to get the parts to help you understand why you are having so many problems.

Maybe Modquad, may no someone that can help you, All that Polaris azz kissing must have made him some Polaris management friends along the way. That is if you can pry his lips away from Polaris managements' azz long enough to tell you!

My TLD Predator has 61 hrs on it and I blew the tranny.

Shift fork, 3 gears and the netrual light switch.

Polaris covered all the parts for me, and the warranty ran out back in June.
