Default trailblazer 250 problem

Hy I have a stock 2000 Trailblazer 250, and I have noticed that if you give it full gas from a compleat stop, it revs up then after about a second or two, it starts to take off, very slowly at first, but then it gets back to normal. It seems like its better just to gradually give it gas at takeoff. Is this normal or is there a problem? Is there a way to fix it or will I need some mods? Also, it seems my that it is burning fuel kinda rich(smokes a little) is this normal or is there a way to fix it?

If you have not replaced the belt, that's the problem. As the belt wears it reduces in width, riding lower in the clutch shives. In addition, it gets slick and just won't grab. Replace the belt and don't forget to do the rubber seal gasket around the shroud or you'll fill that compartment with water in the first stream.

Good Luck,
Gene
