Scrambler 500 4x4
#1
everyone that owns one please tell me what you think? New and old ones.
I am just getting sick of screwing with my blaster. And I want something that is fast, 4 stroke, reverse, reliable, and just fun to ride. I was going to race, but it just came to me. I don't have the cash.
Really, i'm down 3 quads a 500 Scrambler 4x4, 500 scrambler 2x4, Warrior, and 300EX.
500 Scrambler +4x4, powerful, comfortable on long rides, Automatic(yeah, i'm sick of shifting already, i ride too many trails for the 2 stroke Manual route)
-: Heavy....
and the struts aren't that great, but there are a few mods out there for them now. Dennis kirk has quite a few.
Warrior: +: it's not too heavy...
-weird sitting/standing transition, not that powerful for a 350, and yamaha excellent chain adjustmant!
300EX- Small, nimble on trails, pretty good lowend, very light
-Weak topend, bad reverse setup.
What do you guys think?
Maybe a Scrambler 500 2x4 would be better? I don't go in that much mud but sometimes i do.
What is the average out the door price on one?
The dealer i got it off of was a polaris dealership, so i'm going to try to trade it back into him for what i paid. he felt bad about it blowing up and giving me problems. A friend of mine had trouble with a used one he bought off of him and he worked out a great trade deal with him.

I had a Warrior for six years before I got my SC 500. As Ive said before I dont regret it. Much easier to go just as fast. Maybe not the handling or jumping but its not that bad. As for the 2 or 4 wheel drive 4x4 is only 20 something pounds more if the price is affordable I would recommend getting it its nice to have when needed.
