O.K. you guys convinced me to buy a 04.5 sportsman 500 ho. What differences do I look for to tell I am getting the 04.5 not the 04. Let's see if I'm correct. 1)Carlisle badlands tires, thats easy. 2) Should have park, I guess that on the gear shifter? 3) should have a gas guage, I've heard you toggle through the functions with the overide button. Is this correct? I just want to see these functions before I sign the papers and get an 04 instead. Thanks

 

You are correct you toggle through the rmp, hour meter, miles, and trip with the override button. I picked up my 04.5 about two months ago, had a problem with on tire going flat took it back to the dealer he replace the tire and rim under warranty. As a matter of fact I just brought it in for the first 20 hour service.
