[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] what the hell I have never heard of a rear spring breaking before on anything, quad, dirt, bike, & such especially when I was on a poker run and only noticed it was broke cause I felt my shock start bottoming more and heard a rattle coming from the rear. stopped looked at it and seen the big spring was broke in 2 right in the middle of it. any one else ever heard of this? I think it must have been a bad spring from the factory? any input?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

Someone else on here had that problem on their scram 400. Hot Seat makes a nice duel rate replacement spring though

 

I had the little spring on the back break. That sucker was expensive too.

not trying to bag on you here, but you sunk all that money into the motor and made the bike far more powerfull than stock. It seems to me that you might need to upgrade the other parts of the bike to handle it. Kind of like these guys who build lifted offroad trucks on the stock axles and they wonder why the axle breaks when they jump the thing. I'm just saying it's probably time to put some money into the suspension to match your other performance mods.

 

thats strange the spring broke,ive broken like 3 or 4 spring retainers but never the spring itself..
