Polaris did make an auto clutch ATV in 2000 it was the Xpedition 425 5speed with reverse...

The Cyclone had both brakes on the handle bars. You shift by a lever behind your right leg right under the pipe. It would not take long to learn where it was after gettin burned on the pipe a couple times.
