I recently bought a used 2002 400 Scrambler that has a winch and plow. The winch lifts the blade. During this last snow storm the cable snapped. I am not entirely sure what manufacturer makes the winch. Can I just buy any replacement cable or are they brand specific?

If just using for plowing now could just put a hook and cable clamp on it. All you are using is just a few feet of it. I do not see why cable should be brand specific but have seen where some is listed for steel drum and other for aluminum.
