Default torque specs

what are the torque specs of the 250 tb head and cylinder base bolts on a 2003?

cylinder head 18-20 ft.lbs.
cylinder base 25-29 ft.lbs.

Same on the 400s

im doing the same thing iand i would like to ask if there is any sort of pattern in tightening down the head bolts

start at the middle left,middle right,upper left,lower right,upper right,lower left

I posted a link to the torque specs and diagram. You have to join the group. I can't think of any other way to do it. I tried to put them on my page, but it has been pending aproval for a few day now. I can e-mail them to you if you like. Link to torque specs.

thanks for the info. i can't see the link without signing into my account with yahoo. jamag, unless a book tells you to torque something a specific way, you use a criss cross pattern.

That's the whole thing Steve, just criss-cross them and do the 250's in a few steps since the gasket is so thick. Also do the base bolts in a couple of steps and recheck them after a warm up and complete cool down. Your set after that!
