What do you guys suggest for a tire plug kit? I want something realtively inexpensive, yet still good and compact. Should I get one that has patches too? I would also like a pump that uses standard c02 cartridges. I see Rocky Mt has a bunch of different kits. But what do you guys suggest? Thanx

Try this link. It has the threadless cartridges which are way cheaper than the threaded.

I need to get one also....Advance Auto or AutoZone has some sort of kits, don't recall exactly what was in them but it might be worth a check.

Here's some more: 1

I forgot to mention I have the same kit with the threaded cartridges(I always learn the hard way). It's a nice kit. Everything fits in a zippered pouch and the pouch fits ok in the frame mounted tool box. I picked up a nail in the right rear the first time I had my 400 out. The plug is still in there with no leaks. You'll want to carry a knife to cut off the excess plug. The patches won't do you any good since they are for tubes. I used my patches on my sons bike tubes. He thinks he's Dave Mirra so tubes don't last long around my house.

rookwv, 1 and 3 you don't want. Trust me I have #1. They have threaded cartridges which cost atleast twice as much as threadless. #2 is the same as the one I posted just different vendor.

Well I know that ronnies has some good kits...u can get different kinds...they have some package deals that include thread and threadless co2 and also comes with a rubber filer...has your t-fork and like twenty plugs..some of their kits can get a little salty though but if you ride in places like I ride..a good tire repair kit is a must have..and ya the patches are useless..they are for tubes...but you definetly need a t-fork..plugs...and defenetly a knife or some snips to cut off the excess plugs..Thats all I got for ya!

Thanx for the ideas guys. I like the one with the threadless cartridges. I have about 100 Copperhead threadless C02 cartridges that I have for my C02 gun. It doesnt say what size they are though, but I would assume that they would work. AndI do carry a knife with me, always. It is actually a Rambo style survival knife It has like an 10" blade, compass, matches, fishing line and so one. Its a beast

Don't know...the only thing I can think of would be some sort of exhaust adapter...but then it says "fresh air".....I'd like to see one before forking over money for it...

But man, that would be a killer setup if it works!!!!!
