I think a 500 scrammy will serve you well.

I wouldnt even consider a 2x4 scrammy or TB. the 4x4 is too awesome

Forget about the stinky 400, they dont even make 'em anymore.

Hey, thanks everyone! sounds like the 500 would be a good choice. Does it have plenty of snort? Or might I have to mod some? Hows reliability? Thanks again

The 500 has great torque and good power. As far as mods go, well, you know how that goes. It starts with one thing and escalates[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] As long as you perform your maintence, it will be just as reliable as anyother machine.

Default Scram500/TB400??

Mine have been great machines. You will notice some differences from the vinson some good and some bad. I would ride it stock for a while and if thats not enough go with a K&N air filter the cheapest mod you can get. Have fun!

i think your Vinson has IRS? do you like the ride? if so, you may wish to try the new Sportsman700EFI. it'll muster-up more power and give you the nice ride with the independent rear suspension.

being an 'old fart' as you put it, we don't want you too sore after a long day of riding! LOL

just a thought........
