Milling the head?

Default Milling the head?

How much can iI safely shave off of the head in my Trailblazer? Bubba, Modquad,Rick! Anyone!

I've heard you can take from .20 - .25 off the head safely.

just send it in to rick and let him do what he does, while he prob. wont tell you exactly what he does, i just got mine back from him and it is awesome, best 50.00 i ever spent on this quad....

Rick told me I could take 25 thou. off of mine. so I did and it gave me lots more low end power. however if you have someone like rick do it they can square up the squish space between the piston and head. There not always right on from the factory I have been told this also helps alot.



2003 tb250 RcR stage 1 kit.

Yes, unless you have the milling machine it would be best to send it to someone. The squish band plays a very important role in directing flame travel and velocity. Sometimes they do need recut. But you will still notice a gain when milling a stock unit.
