So you are telling me that a two cylinder, lets say a 700 cc, is going to make MORE torque if only one piston is going and dragging the other "dead" piston along with it, and only having a 350cc displacement at the time. I think not.

Come on kids, ask daddy how an engine really works.

Oohhhhh..... the people who dont pay attention. If you take half of that motor then the displacement is only roughly 350cc. Now go back if you can actually read and look at that post again. I said "of near engine size". Doesnt look to me that 350 compared to 800 is very close. I cant believe your even the kind of person to try and bash someone for thinking of a new idea. Really shows your mentality. Thinking and dreaming is what made all of our inventions a reality. Maybe his idea is not very good, but I have had bad ideas before and I would bet you've had your fair share. I praise people for thinking. Seems to me that we rely on machines and other things to think for us in today's world. Scramlerman112, dont let these people who talk like this deter you. Keep that brain thinking and one day you never know what you might come up with.

Since we are going into what we would LIKE to see, not necessarily what will wind up on the showroom floor, why not a big-bore 2 cycle, with a RIDER CONTROLLED power valve? It could be electronically controlled, and have 3 settings: Max torque, Max high RPM HP, and Auto. Really, the Max high RPM HP could be controlled by the computer in the auto mode, but for horsing around, it would be fun to have that high RPM 'hit', kind of like a Banshee does when on the pipe. It would be more for the IMPRESSION of power than actual power output.
You guys who ever rode a Banshee know what I mean, it starts off, kind of almost bogs, starts to rev up, and then WHAM! takes off like a rocket. Maybe not really any faster than a modded 400 Scrambler, but it FEELS faster, and is also FUN!

Just my 2 cents worth, and if the EPA would allow, could actually be done without a whole lot of difficulty.
