Hozed, if you're uncomfortable, you better get the machine back to the dealer. I would strongly suggest purchasing the Predator service manual. There are some quality pics and proceedures in there that take the mystery out of these machines. Information is power. True...I have no life so Im pretty open most of the time.....It still amazes me....and how many people have quads and dont know a thing about jetting....that bugs me too...I may only be 15 but I know when somethings wrong with the jetting, and I know how to fix it......

 

i aint much of a mechanic.. my friends not ALOT more than i do... but i do know some... thats why when the tranny blew and it was under warrenty.. i took everything apart and handed them the motor... then reinstalled it again... the only reason i didnt do this was because i didnt wanna be held accountable for anything. my oils lines were pissin me off becaus ei had everything there i needed.. and they still leaked...

either way we figured out what was wrong...

a vavle shim had fallin out and went down near the spring... it ended up jamming the pad... the head was fine not damaged at all... but now i need a shim and new pad.. my dealer "1day air saturday delivery" the parts for me for nothing...
