I own a Diesel ATV and we use it on our farm. We have 150 miles on it now (low miles but all hard work). Has anyone had any experiences with their Diesel you could share with me? Any thing to watch out for such as week parts? Anyone modified their Diesel (such as turning up the fuel)?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

I absolutely love mine. In my opinion it is the best utility ATV on the market, certainly the best I have ever owned. It has tons of torque and will pull just about anything. It is so much more powerful than the 425 Magnum we use to have, plus its built on a 500 Sportsman chassis (lots of ground clearance and a nice ride especially weighing 750 lbs). We use our strictly on the farm. Of the 150 miles we have on it, I’ll bet we haven’t put 1 mile on it without something hooked to it. It’s either hauling manure, horse food, a mower, a tiller etc. I have a Warn winch on it and that comes in handy for pulling tight fences or dragging branches out of the pond after a winter freeze. As for mileage, we can get about 15 MPG’s which is double what we were getting with the Magnum (it’s always in low towing something). On the trail they are suppose to get 45 MPG, but we’ve never had it on a trail ride, so I don’t know for sure. The down side to the ATV is that it is noise and slow. Top speed in low is 15 mph and in hi about 35 mph (primarily due to its lower gearing and governed RPM’s ). And yes it is really noise when compared to the Magnum. However, I’ll bet it isn’t that much noisier when compared to a high performance 2 stroke ATV .
