polaris 90 stator problems

polaris 90 stator problems

Is anyone having stator coil problems?
i have gone through 2 in a month on my kids sportsman 90. my buddy has replaced his kids once. put it away its fine, then go to start it NO SPARK. the dealer tells me that any water that gets in there will damage the stator. well guess what, the stator is not sealed so if my kid goes through a 2" deep puddle at 8mph the stator will get wet.
any suggestions??? ( should of kept the LT80, 12 yrs old NO problems )
