Porting the 2004 scrambler
#11
its a 2004 polaris scrambler 4x4. But i never use the 4 wheel drive and i want to lose it and put in a 2wd tranny. But im changing jets, the muffler\pipe, clutch and secondary clutch. i need to know more on what this kit is and if theres a website and the power gain. this bike is going to be a trail\sand bike. Im going to have it set up for trails but also sand by switching to paddles no extended swing arms. but i dont know anything about this 600 kit. im trying to be able to have people look at me and say wanna race but while they laugh thinking i will lose. THen i will smoke them. Cause im adding a nx nitrous kit also.

There is no website for FST. You will have to call Mickey Dunlap directly. Also, if you are going with just a slip-on muffler, I would suggest the White Bros. E-series over the FMF. The WB is actually Mickey's pipe of choice. If you into trails and sand, then torque is what you want. That is what the 600 kit is set up for...........MONSTER TORQUE!!! You actually may not gain much in top speed, but low end is where it will shine. Sand robs a lot of power, and torque will help you there. The NOS should help on the top end. I also sent you a PM with more info.

I might also add, that a TEAM roller secondary clutch from HPD will help as will a sstronger belt. I normally wouldnt recommend an aftermarket belt, but if this motor puts out what I hear it does, then a Kevlar belt may be needed

Aaen has A dyno graph that includes porting on the Scrambler. Aaen dyno graph. Mickey Doesn't have dyno #s on the 600 or 628 kit. That's been my only drawback to plunkin the money down for it. I gotta know th results. If you do it, any info you give would be great. He said it's super reliable. One guy I've talked to said Mickey likes to stick with the stock clutching. On the primary at least. He aslo prefers to rework the stock carb versus a new carb.
