Just trying to understand.....

2, 10 mm wrenches makes the disconnect, then what? Do you manually shift the tranny at that point and then reconnect the linkage? Does the problem fix itself or does it require a visit to the Polaris Dealer?

I think my gears came out of adjustment due to constant shifting from LOW to REVERSE once out of adjustment the gear selecter froze up.
After looking at the way the gear selecter is set up and burning my hand on a hot tailpipe I sent it back to the dealer. I bought it in May of last year along with a one year warrenty that covers these adjustments along with parts, I hope.
Hey KUSHMAN, did you have ti tieghten or loosen those nuts with the 2 10mm wrenches?
Also if anyone uses thier machine as a plow look out for this problem happening more often, I never had this happen untill I started plowing my driveway where you would change gears more often.

Thanks P500HO! It's one of my favorites too. I saw your Bio and the statement about not being able to post anymore Pics.....I had the same issue but figured out, after you post the first one, you have to go back up top and click "Edit" and you can post another. This has to be done with each Pic. Maybe this is what you were experiencing?

Dragonfire
needed the 2 10mm to loosen the linkage rods....what happend was, the two shifting barrells inside the shifter box became jammed...had to unhook the linkage rods to free it up...
put the tranny in whatever gear selected and put the shifter in the coresponding location...I just made sure that the shifter barrells and the linkage rods were positively in there position....hooked it all back up......
by the way, when this happened, i was still new to the shifter and actually was a little rougher and more forcefull than i shgould have been...over time i got used to it and can shift quite fast with it now
