Go with the wolv....way better than the scrammy!!...............NNNNOOOOTTTT....I have a 200 scrammy 500 and it is sweet...and the 04's are even better....you got the sports quad which is pretty dang fast..then you can have the utility quad too...and you can accesorize the scrammy however you want it..but its a great machine...SO GO WITH THE SCRAMMY!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!!!

I know I'll get bombed for this, but in the Wolverines defense, back when I first bought mine, went riding in the St. Croix area with a 400 Scrambler and a Kodiak and a Honda Foreman. Me and the Scrambler left them in the dust on long straight runs, top speed is about the same, he took me off the line due to the 2 stroke and the belt drive, but I had the last laugh, since the Scrambler has a bit less ground clearance in back, I had to pull him out 3 times, he kept getting hung up in the deep rutted stuff, while I went right by him. Both were stock back then, it just came down to ground clearance in deep mud. I am NOT bashing Polaris, just stating what went on that day, also, the much smaller fenders on the Scrambler allow you to get a real bath from the front wheels, in case that is something you don't like, both are great quads, I took a couple of rides on his Scrambler, fun to whip the back end around in 2wd, but I just like shifting gears, so it is up to the rider to decide what features he wants. I myself think either one is a fine quad, you just need to see what you expect out of it, and decide for yourself.

Hey 95 wolv, what are you doing for an airbox? I owned a 95- had F.S.T do a "366" bore on it (if there is such a thing-thats what he called it) flow ported the head, with a cam and heavy springs. Plus a roundslide carb. My bigest problem was, I cudnt get enough air in the damm thing! Its like the boot between the carb and the airbox was always in a "kink". If i ran a clamp on filt on it, it wud run like a raped ape! My bigest beef with the wolvy was no grease fittings. Wheel bearings and swingarm brngs were always sh!tn da bed. The one thing I really enjoyed about the wolvy that I cant do with my Scrammy is climb the big piles of leftover timber thats in a woods after clear cutting. Man that was fun!

I've read three separate tests between the scram and the wolv and the scrammy was the top pick each time with its plush supension and big power, but the wolverine did excel in the more tight and twisty trails. but overall the testers had to keep the motor revs up and alot of shifting to try and keep up with the scrammy. Depends on your riding style!

personally icant belive you comparing a 400 2 stroke to a 350 4 stroke...but thats not the point since it is comparing the 500HO to the 350...and as for ground clearnce its all about riding style on account my dads 400 sportsman got suck(mind you independt rear suspension) and the 500 blew right threw it... just my 2 cents even though this debate is pretty much over with...
