gettin a predator
#1
my cousin and his friend(about 28 years old) bought oredators a couple of months ago. finally after 3 months of explaining to my parents that a predator would be better than my motox bikes. ive decided to get a predator, one prob is htat i have to pay for 90% of it. wont be too hard, but its definately a challenge. were goin to the dealer tomorrow and was wondering, wat r some good aftermarket parts for it? ive already decided nerf bars and white borthers pipe
thanks,
eric

My seat of the pants observation of the Pure Polaris pipe on an 03 VS my stock 04 (with a K/N) is that my stock bike has better power down low. On the top end my buddy and his disco little pipe *may* have me by a slight bit. If noise is of concern to you (and it should be) his pure Polaris outfitted bike is significantly louder than my stocker. From a strictly aesthetics stand-point my stock pipe is down rite ugly in comparison.

You gotta be kidding me.......
NO WAY a stock silencer can even be compared to a W/B pure polaris.....I've got both.
2 troy lee preddys.
One stock jetted, Stock silencer, but a drop in K&N.
2nd has re-jetted 165, W/B exhaust, and clamp on K&N.
no comparison, the W/B hands down out breathes, out pulls, and out rips the VERY restrictive stock muff.
The stock muff of course is also very quiet, while the W/B is actually a pretty quiet after market pipe, especially compared to, say HMF or Big Guns, which are way too noisy for the Oregon dunes and my personal taste.
There is nothing wrong with the W/B silencer. Its a proven design, and most any aftermarket performance pipes will be within 10-15% of each other for power (1-2 h.p) yet the noise goes off the scale for those few extra ponies.

Heapster - The fact that we are having this conversation is proof the two can be compared So let me recap, my seat of the pants and yours, seem to agree, that the Pure Polaris aka white bros. is faster on top than the stock unit – agreed?. I also stated that on the bottom my stock 04 felt stronger. To me the piped 03 felt weak off the line (again vs my 04). Again when things get wound up I have no doubt that a piped pred is faster but down low from my observation it sure felt weak.
So on to other important topics - did ya pick up your dodge in ID?
