True, but it is not just the same old bikes. We pour thousands of dollars and countless hours into our machines. Not a single one of them are alike. And to be truthfully honest, I saw some of bikes from the local bike buiders that were SOOO much better than the OCC bikes. To me, the guys just seem to have their heads in the clouds. They arent bikers, their celebs

Agreed! I think that guy Bourget (sp?) makes the baddest bikes out there, but to each his own.
I have been going to the NY show for the past few years and this was the worst year yet! I was totally psyched to see the new ZX10R, R1, CBR1000 and Gixxer 1000. The problem was that there were 3 times as many people at this one then any other time. Tons of kids, women with strollers and tv fans looking to see the Discovery channel stars.
What was funny about the NY set up was they put OCC in the corner and right across from them they had Ultimate Cycles (I think thats what its called). This place is owned by Dee, he used to work for OCC and was in the first few episodes. He looked Italian and had pretty big arms and did the electrical work. In his roped off area was Nubs. Nubs was the painter from the first episode that Paul Sr. insulted. Nubs is extremely well known and respected, his work is pricey but really nice. I don't think he will work with OCC anymore so they went and got that kid (dont know his name but he is really good too).
What I am trying to say is not everyone is from a well-off background (I don't know if you are or not) and when the opportunity to blow-up presents itself they jump at it. I can't really blame them.
But I agree that there bikes are far from the best out there.

All those custom built bikes cant hold a candle to a well restored classic like an old FLH or FX.The best place to see a bike show is at a local or regional bike run aka part.I have more respect for the little guy who owns his bike and does the best he can to keep it up and running. Glad you had a good time liked to have been there too. found the pic of my tanks and will email it to you in a few days.

I agree. If that opportunity came to me, I ould have jumped on it. But I am just kinda disappointed that they seemed to forget where they came from and and their roots. They were just like us small time bike builders that spend all our spare time restoring and customizing our machines. And for them to not even give us the time of the day was disappointing. I bought my bike and amm still paying for it. I pour my heart, sweet, and tears into that to make it 1 of a kind. One of my dad's friends bought a frame from Bourget. Form what I hear, he is one of the worst guys to deal with. He would not help with anything. But I like how he has the oil running throught the frame. On the other hand, another guy had Jesse James biuld him a frame for a Pro street Harley with the oil in frame deal too. From what he said, WCC was very good and easy to deal with. And I kinda happen to side with ftwflh on the restored bike deal.

I LOVE the paint on the dresser (#8) It is actually done in a ghost image, but shows up real good with a flash. It is really patriotic. I had G.Bush on the gas tanks and Eisenhower on the other side. BEAUTIFUL paint!!!!
