Default 700 efi price?

Maybe some states you don't have to, but I'm in Pa and have to pay Pa sales tax and registration when I brought it home just like buying a car out of state. Hope you find a good deal.

Technically anything you purchase that is eligible for a sales tax must have that sales tax paid when you get it. When you buy a part from a dealer in your local shop, they charge you sales tax. When you order that part from them and have them ship it to you, you pay that sames sales tax. Now, the way the government figures it, if you buy that part out of state and have it shipped to you, you dont have to pay sales tax from that state. But, you must pay the sales tax for it from your own state. So any part you order from out of state, should be recorded and the proper sales tax paid when you do your tax returns. Anything short of that can possibly be considered tax fraud, a federal offense. This applies from the smallest of items to the largest, like a quad or car. The reason that you HAVE to do it for things like cars and atvs is that these items have to be registered with the state. When you register these vehicles, you must have a title, and that title must list the seller and purchaser. Normally we dont see this because the dealerships take care of it. But, when you are the middle man, you get to see it first hand. That tax must be paid before you can get it titled in your state, and therefore registered.

Maddog56 is correct, if you register the quad, you will have to pay the tax and fees associated. In VA, from what I was told, you don’t have to register a quad to own it. On the other hand, if I ever wanted to sell it, trade it, or anything else where I would need a title, I would have to go register it (and pay the taxes).

I bought my scram on Ebay and had it shipped from Tennesee. Once I got it to Michigan I had the title transfered to my name. That is when I had to pay the sales tax on it I didnt have to have it registered though
