jetting for a pipe

Default jetting for a pipe

i am going to jet my carb tomorrow or tonight if i can. For my dad and i, a picture really helped grasp what we will be doing. Here is a pic http://www.partsland.com/index.cgi?N...250-CARBURETOR. i looked at some pics and seen what all to do and i think i know what to do now imm going to give it a shot. and one last Q can you buy a main jet like at a auto shop or like a autozone

nope your dealer or other atv stores that cell the right kind of jet for ur carb. what are u gonna do?

Yeah, any atv/motorcycle shop will have them but not an auto parts store like AutoZone...

Just call and ask if they have jets for whatever kind of carb you have....they might ask if it's a slotted or star/hex head jet as well (for Mikuni carbs)

The place I get my jets from charged me $4 for the first one and he told me if I wanted to change it out just bring it back and he'd swap it out...that way I'd only have to pay for 1 main jet.....but for $4 it doesn't make a big deal other than the customer service end of it.
