PROCOMENGINEERING good or bad?
Well, Modquad. I bought one, $117 with shipping. Results: Works great so far. Keeps you in the powerband longer by allowing you to stay in gear longer. No more mist shifts from hitting the rev-limiter. I don't know if the predator makes any more horsepower on top end but it sure feels like the extra revs help. I drag raced my cousins raptor. CT racing pipe, jetted, air box mods. Before I could barely take him on top end. Now I can keep it in gear just a little big longer and blow by him. He weights 180 and I weight 265. We changed machines and he destroyed me.

I would make sure to upgrade your valve-springs to the HPD units, if you're frequently "over-revving" the machine. I will eventually run that box against the adjustable curved units, but really don't see as much value in just removing/raising the rev limit, as opposed to changing the ignition curve along with it. To each their own, keep us posted.

I heard somewhere, either from hardrock motorsports or nicholas cycle that the stock valvesprings are strong enough. But I am watching and listening for anything that doesn't seem right. So far no problem. I agree it is better to go the established route. But you have to admit, the established places way over charge. They know we need it and that to few make em.

I have the Procomm box. Love i! I am not overreving the engine with the box, it just always seemed the soft part of the factory CDI limit would hit at the same time I wanted to shift. That no longer happens. With the new box I have not hit the limiter at all while racing, I can feel where I need to shift and do so accordingly.
Adjustable spark curve might be nice, but, it just like having a box full of jets for the carb and a screwdriver. You can do more harm than good if you are trying to tune by the seat of your pants!
