As it is now there aren't any laws on the books concerning riding on lined roads, the violations come from an ATV not being approved for highway use---no blinkers, license, etc...

After they get the proposed law hammered out it's probably going to be no riding on roads with a center line....

Hope that helps.

There aren't any helmet laws yet....but it's coming....to private land even, if the Senate has their way.

I ride Mercer Wyomimg & Mcdowell Counties regularly. We ride Rt.52 (yellow line 2 lane) between trails to get gas or food. The local police have never bothered us, they give us a friendly wave!
The way the latest law changes read we wil still be able to ride on most roads. Just keep as far to the right as possible. On the sholder if their is one. Under 25 mph. That's the hard part!!

i went riding over the christmas holiday near Weston. we rode for over 2 hours, on paved, paved lined, dirt, and "other" (which consisted of an official main road under water in a creek. Not kidding!) and no one seemed to care.

Yup you've misunderstood me....I'm all for mandatory helmets, even for adults but the lawmakers won't go that far in fear of making voters mad....in an election year.
