OK , Time for another quad this spring. Which one? a Predator or the new trx450r? How about and old 250r?

 

oooo.........thats a tough one. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I love my pred, but I have to say if I'd had the choice I'd take the 450R in a heart beat. As for the 250r......nah, not unless its got about 8-9grand in it, and even then its not going to have the same ergonomic comfort and flow of the modern quads.

 

I grew up on 250r's and I can get a fully modded one that has about $12000 into it for $6500. But, thats the past. I'm thinking Ive got to get into the future. The only thing is that I'd keep the 250r forever as a legend.

But I'm kinda partial to the American based company Polaris - BUY AMERICAN. But Honda fit and finish is second to none.

 

really tough question but i would say wait for peoples reactions on the 450r then if u like wat people think of them buy it. but with the extra money from buyin the pred u could buy a lot of aftermarket parts

 

ooo tough choice. its all down to what you want really, you could get a 450R for its price, which im thinking is faster stock then a pred (never riden one so im not sure), or you can get the predator, which isnt really "worse" then the 450r, but a little weaker then it, but if you get the pred like tbsleeper said, your saving some money for aftermarkets cuz pred is less cost then the 450R, this is the route im taking. goo dluck on your decision!

 

i would also wait for some reactions from the 450r.. people are saying that it isnt quite as fast as the yfz.. and the yfz isnt that much faster than the pred.
the trx int much more $$$ than the pred.. and for realiablility reasons.. i might go with the honda depending on what people have to say about it.
i love my pred.. but lets face it.. ive had too many problems on a brand new quad than what i would like to have. although its supose to be all fixed in the 04 models.
