i really cant remeber.. i havent had my scrambler for quite some time now... some1 on here can help you more than i can.. but if its the way i think.. its VERY simple... maybe look in his owners manual.. that says how too.

Loosen 2 bolts on the swingarm that clamp the bearing carrier and the 2 bolts that bolt the rear caliper on. You can use a 2-1/2" wrench on the carrier or use a pin punch through the hole in the sprocket hub and rock the quad to rotate the carrier (which is accentric) to tighten the chain. The chain should have 3/16" to 3/8" deflection. The 2 carrier bolts should be torqued to 30 ft. lbs and the caliper bolts to 10-12 ft lbs. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

the manual might not say what to do, I got this pos 2000 polaris manual and it covers all the 2000 modles, but not in detail, infact it didnt say nething about the tb chain. Now, i dont know if its all manuals, but mine is that way. My dad and i broke 3 tools, dont remember what they were, because it was different. Hope this helps
