Hey guys, just wondering, is there any disadvantage in having a DG silencer? As to, say- an FMF?

DG and FMF make good gear. It's just that they aren't Polaris specific companies. I know there are people who get tired of me constantly mentioning HPD. They are a Polaris specialty company. This doesn't mean that someone out there might make something that out performs an HPD component.....it's just less likely. A great deal of time and testing (which most shops do) goes into mods to make sure they measure up.....when this is being performed, they're not jumping back and forth between a Yamaha, Honda, etc. The customer benefits from a higher level of product refinement, hence greater bang for your buck.

if you are running a head that sasy it requires 104 octane is it completely neccesary that you use a fuel that high or would say 100 octane be ok.

To save some money, you can use 100/110 aviation fuel for trail ripping, but to get the full effect, VP race gas C-12 works much better.

Unfortunately, unless something's changed in the last 2 years, then DG or Dynoport is your 2 choices without modifying another pipe to fit on the 94 and 95 models.
