By gearbox, I'm assuming you mean transmission. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the trans. I know several people who have the hpd full race mod and have run it for years with no trans. problems.

The only trans probs I've heard of is if someone is running the race mod w/ 4x4. The HPD head has the O-ring seals for a more effecient heat transfer. Also, why not go to the 15.5:1 dome, for just ripping around, you can easily run Av gas....also, iif you get rid of that DG pipe, your quad will thank you w/ more speed. I definitely would not run regular gas with your 14:1 head. 91 octane fuel is too volatile, and will pre-ignite with such high compression. You'll be looking at severe engine damage. Stick with the recommended 104 octane.

And didn't you make an earlier post about removing the radiator fan? I take it this machine is just going to be a drag racer? If not, you might want to reconsider the removal of the fan.
