Oil pump block off!
Personally, I'm not a fan of blocking off the injector. I have not heard of an injector on a Polaris ever failing. If you are a racer and trying to drop weight that is a whole different thing. When you premix you are locked into what ever ratio you mixed, so at idle it may be getting too much and at WOT it might not be getting enough. The injector gives it more oil as throttle position is increased thus oiling for demand. Plus I can just buy regular gas for all of my euipment and not have to worry about a mixed gas jug for this quad and one for that quad.

Oil pump block off!
I agree 100% with fishslab. The Polaris injestors are very reliable. I have heard very few failures. And with as many 2 strokes that Polaris puts out if they had injector problems it already would have been addressed with Polaris. And for the weight savings it only weighs about a half pound. Is it really worth the hassle to save half pound? I think not! But yes it is a different story for racwers. They run half to WOT 90% percent of the time durring races. Thus it burns the oil off quicker. If you do alot of trailriding and you get to a strech of trail that you have to go slow then the likely of fouling a plug is much greater. Not what I want to deal with on the trail in the middle of having fun. But it is up to you. Everyone has thier opinion.

Oil pump block off!
I dont know about being reliable. I have a 99 sport 400. I bought it used. It smoked a lot when I got it in sept. o3. I checked the oil injector and when I took the cover off I found out that the cable from the throttle was broken off before the pump. So it was running at a certain mixture all the time. When I got the oil block off kit I was woried about mixing fuel and oil (first 2 stroke) but its not bad at all. Best part is it doesnt smoke now (except for 2 stroke normal smoke) and I know it is getting oil. It also has more power since the mixture was too rich with oil.
Check the belt too. I just put a new one on and she pulls like a S.O.B.
