I'm not sure. At the local dealer, the Sp500 sells for $8879, out the door with 15% taxes and plates, $10300 canadian, roughly 7800 US$. He says his cost on this machine is $8200 canadian (seems high to me).

The Sp600 sells for $9400, out the door $10900, roughly $8300 US$.

At the out of town dealer, quoted price, otd, for the SP500 is $9125 canadian. The SP600 has been quoted for $9810, otd.

I've also been quoted 2 Suzuki Vinson for $20000, out the door, with 2 upseats and footpegs, roughly $7600 US.

How do these prices compare to US prices, given the our 15% sales tax.

TIA

I paid 7400.00 out the door for my sp 700, why are they charging 2200.00 for 2 when it should be no more than 15000 out the door for 2 700 sps.Are you getting extra stuff like plows or are you living at a place where atv's are hard to get. The new sp 700 efi is selling for 7800.00 and there's no reason that you can't get that price out the door and its a much better machine than the pol 600.

Polaris Of Chattanooga has the best OTD prices that I have seen. They are selling 04 SP500 HO's for $5399 OTD and 04 SP600's for $5599 OTD (US). Heck, you can get the SP700 EFI for $6599 OTD!!! Those prices that you are getting quoted seem really high. $7800 US for a SP500 HO is high to me

mudking, my local dealer wants almost that without all the extras you got! But seeing you're from Alberta, you only pay the 7%GST while I'm stuck with the GST and PST. I'll try to get better than the $9100 low quote I got so far.

bigbad, that dealer sure has nice prices...the 500 at 5399 is the equivalent of $7100 canadian...still a little far for me to drive down and pick a couple up but thanks, it gives me a good point of reference for my purchase here. I checked the Internet for prices around Toronto and I think I could do better around there if I drive a few hours to pick 'em up.

You guys got me thinking about the 700 over the 600 for myself...worth it? I test drove one but couldn't see a big difference over the 600 on such a short test drive.

I have the 2003 700 and its a good machine, tears It up in the snow but is scary going down hills because polaris has rear end engine breaking only I wish it had 4 wheel ebs.The reason I say the 700 over the 600 is because the new 700s have efi and I think that will make a big dif. Just remember if you get a polaris be carfule going down hills.

Unless you are the kinda guy that just wants to have the letters "700" on the side of your tank and want the biggest quad around, then you may just want to stay with the 600. There isnt much difference in power from what I have heard. The 600 is better on gas too. Now if you were to say 700EFI, then thats another story

If theres a arctic cat dealer up there you might want to test drive there new 650,like I say i have a 2003 polaris 700 and I think that the arctic cat 650 is a better all around machine.I like the idea that it has 4wdr engine braking that works alot better going down hills. Also i think they dont have as many problems as the polaris 600 - 700s.

Well guys, instead of an Sp 500 and an Sp 600, I picked up an Sp 600 and the Sp 700 EFI yesterday. Got them at an out of town dealer and paid less than I would have at the local dealer for the 500 and 600. Thanks for your input guys and see ya on the trails!
