Dumb Question: Whats the difference between a silencer and a spark arrestor silencer ??? I know I will save weight with the HPD but noise is a big factor. My riding/hunting buddies would kill me if it sounds like a motocross!! When we talk "a bit louder", just what is a bit?

The stock silencer / spark arrestor will fit the HPD pipe, I used it to keep the sound down. I think that some of the thermal tape wrapped around the forward section of the pipe ( before it goes under the heat shield ) would help cut the sound down. I live in town, wiith the neighbor's window about 20 feet from the garage door, so a low sound level is important.
I like the mods that I've done so far, but after scuffing a piston, I would recomend a light pre-mix in addition to what the pump puts into the motor.
I put the spacer and the reeds in at the same time, and they added a lot of "snap" to the throttle response and mid range.
The clutch springs make a world of difference in getting the power to the ground. I didn't use the weights with my kit ( HPD gives you 53 gram, Stocker are 55 grams ) as I wanted a faster engagement. I may even swap out the plain spring for the HPD6 to lower the initial engagement RPM.
