Default help

Hi i just got my rcr stage one kit today for my 03 trail boss. Scince the directions are worthless could somebody please give me instructions. the air filter is easy to install but the pipe you have to cut the old one and some how connect it to the new one? How do you install the air box vents. I don't see how a pice of rubber could be a vent but anyway. How do you install the carb jets and why is there 2? In the kit there are these 2 little cirular pices of rubber about the size of the inside of the pipe what are they? There is also a tube of glue or something with the White brothers sign on it what is it used for. Thanks for and help you can give me.

if they are like the uni vents you need to cut 1 inch holes in the air box and make sure you cut them in the right spot so when air comes through them the air still goes through the filter the vents aren't designed to filter out small particales like the filter dose

r u sure that you didnt throw some of the instructions away? I read a lot of topics about the rcr kit before ordering mine, and the over all conclusion for the instructions was that they are pretty good and easy to follow. When i got mine, i could only find one piece of paper that looked like it was one of two or three. I think i just thought the others were packing and threw them away.

as for the pipe, that sounds weird that you have to cut the old pipe to install the new one.

Just call ritter cycle, they'll help you through anything, and they have really good customer service!

Hope this helps!

Hey,

Give Ritter a call, whatevers missing in the directions, they'll gladly tell ya. I bought a Stage One for my Scrambler, and I'm looking at the new pipe versus the old pipe and I'm thinking there isn't a snow ***** chance in ____ this will work. I called Ritter, and they explained their pipe went behind the frame, not around it like the stock pipe did. I'm thinking, DUH, what a dum *** I was...lol. I had 2 different jets, they sent them so I'd have them after I run the bike and did a plug check, just in case i needed a different jet. Anyway, give them a call, they'll gladly walk you through any questions you have. Good luck.

remove the air filter than the air box the boot from the air box to the carb has a hose clamp at the carb you have to loosen the clamp and pull the box all the way out there is another hose clamp from the carb on a boot to the head of the motor loosen the clamp on the carb side and spin the carb upside down there is a bolt in the bottom of the carb with a tube coming out of it unscrew the bolt and you will be stairing at the main jet.. hope this helps
