HEY!! 8)
Got HER!!!!!!!!
Only had one good ride yet, this bike rocks. nfire:
The tracks are very good in snow, but you know me, I got it stuck 50' from my house, on thursday nite ( will 4:00am friday morning) a half hour after taking her out. :stupid:
I still had the plow attached, and was down playing in deep snow, REAL DUMB. Had to walk in waist deep snow , up hill to get to the house, not good for me, I hurt like Sh*t still.
In the morning Jason came by to see if he could get her out, but I had been stupid and "spun" her down way to deep.
the tracks were now all packed in a very hard packed snow, and was sitting there for over 8 hours, in the freezing cold, stormy weather, the bike fired up , no problem, but the belt smoked because the tracks were to packed to move.
a couple of my other buddys came by and they and jason got her out no problem.
Jason then plowed my driveway, man this beast can move snow!!!!!!
ALSO, this bike can handle the deep snow, and likes powder!!!
It's better to make a fresh track in the powder , than to pass through a track that the bike already made.
On hard pack, it handles wonderfull, and steering is easy.
after that it was time for him to test drive, but he did not make it far before the belt blow up!!
The damage had been done trying to get her out.
I now know that I must use only low gear while the tracks are breaking in.
The Tracks only get about 32 mph at about 5600rpm's in high get on hard packed snow covered road, SO I CALLED AD Boivin, and ask why, because all the info says 10-20% top end lost at most.
the tech told me that the tracks take about 20 hours to break in, and as time goes by, my top end will increase, because the track has to take shape. Also I still have to do more adjustments, and find tuning of the tracks.
there are also cams to adjust the track, and the Tech said that if my top end don't increase, to drop them down to 6 or 7 from the factory sitting of 8.
The tracks I have also have "rails" which is a update from the website, this is supposed to make them better in snow.
So, it is saturday morning sun is up!!
and I'm waiting my pal to put the new belt on the bike, I just made the dealer on time last nite to get one, and all I hoping is that when Jason pull the cover to change the belt, a busted belt is all he finds!!
more later!!
check out the Inside pic's!!
I will get Outside pic's later!
