polaris been making alot of stuff for the pred and there is a regular verison, the dale jr edition, and 2 others. i love the pred but whats going did polaris forget about us scrambler and trail blazer guys they need to do somthin to arm frames and weight probs and they could also make them look better they looked the same for a long time now. do u think there goig to change them around anytime soon? since they did so much to the pred for the short time it has been out i think they could give us a change.

I think they may change all the models.. for 05 but i think the pred and sportsman line will not be changed..
They are long over do for a change... Since they put a cheap shock on the scrambler for 04 they might be planning a whole different machine and did not want to order good shocks and have left overs when they can no longer use them just a guess though...
Polaris makes more LE models then any other company that i know of....
Lets just hope polaris gets with the program on there other quads...

i agree.
the Scrammy needs some updates. there's always room for improvements.
Hell, a '98 Scrammy is no different then an '04. except that the '04 has a cheap shock and a soft seat.
i don't know about you but black with yellow stripes is not very striking if you ask my.
suggestions? shed A LITTLE weight, increase power.(maybe put the Pred engine in it)

i think it was ge4x4 that made a good point... the pred is in the middle of everything as far as price... but other quads suit people better for what they want. and they can spend either a little less... i little more or the same for something that will treat them better.

The 250 2 stroke and 500 4 stroke stroke are great engines but if they just made a sporter frame with double arms and do somthing with the struts. then put some better plastic on not so big and somthin with more curves and texture and put some more high perfomance factory parts on it ( exhaust, milled head , and so foruth like they did on the cyclone) the sells would increase to some big numbers and everone that like has the polaris quads now will even be going to trade in there quad to get it.

barlett, hozed,
I gotta disagree with you both. The Pred is sitting in better possition then the new Honda. It's (the Honda) slower, has a higher center of gravity. (Sat on one, sits like a Raptor in height) It's never going to be a great cross-country racer. No electric start! What were they thinking. The engine can't keep up with the new yammaha. Most people racing can forgive not having reverse. But it hurts in the trail quad market
To me, the new Honda is a less powerful, tippier version of the Predator with no electric start. My opinion though. This is not a bash Honda session. But I fail to see how it's release will hurt predator sales.
The Honda's sales will be comming from Honda finatics who want nothing to do with Polaris anyway. So where's the hurt in Polaris sales.
Maybe the Polaris sales are better around here because their is now CC limit in the racing around here. Just the pro (A) and amateur (B) classes

the honda slow? rofl?
i almost creamed my pants when i drove my buddies.
it is a 100X better machine than the pred... except for the reverse thing... it has a ton more power and it felt right... it was the only machine i could ever get on and not hafta get use to the way it felt before i went screamin through trails.
and in a drag race... my buddies yfz (with 18's on the rear) hasnt beat my buddies trx.... both stock.

I agree stryder, my brother just got a trx450r and it is not what he was expecting... It was slow and had trouble keeping up with me on the pavement.... The sad part is that honda knows its slow because my friend works at a dealership(mickyfinns honda) and he said that honda already came out with a kit that is supposed to allow it to compete with the pred, yzf, and ds.. Good thing i did not buy one...

Honda will have no trouble selling the 450r, diehard Honda fans have been waiting for it a long time. Even though the 450r doesn't have reverse or electric-start, I'm guessing its going to sell like ice cream on a hot summer's day. Anyway, as for polaris, they definitely need to make some changes to their lineup. They need to use more aluminum to get rid of some of the bulk their atvs are carrying around. I mean most of their 4-wheelers are 75-100+lbs more than their competitors. The predator isn't like that but the rest of their lineup is. One thing that is killing the predator sales is brand loyalty. Most people aren't even going to look at the predator. They see one word- polaris and they are automatically turned away. They can't shake their reputation and the sales of the predator show it.
