im thinking about runing some cam 2 in my sport. is it worth paying almost 5$ a gallon for? someone told me that to much octane could lessen the performance of my quad. any truth 2 that?

any comments would be greatly appreciated

thanks

well im pretty sure that higher octane dose not lessen the perfomace, high Octance = fast, clean, smooth burning, better performance, but i would not put in way to much either, you could overheat the engine a do some good damage that way to. but lets say 95 - 100 would make it run great.

badazz400.........you could do like I do.. with the price of cam2 it can get pricey to run it straight...use a 50/50 mix of pump gas and cam2, and use a little hotter plug. and I like to run it a little on the lean side

Running higher octane fuel than your motor needs will not make more power. It may actually loose a little, so save your money.

The only reason people run hi octaine gas is to prevent detonation. This is from increased compression. If your not haveing this problem it's worthless to use it.
