Running a lighter weight oil will help, but we have found alot of bikes that the clutch was not adjusted correctly was causing the bike hard to get in neutral. loosen the clutch adjuster at the handle bars, then make sure there is no slack in the adjustment at the engine. back off the the 2 nuts that adjust the cable, pull the cable up until there is no play, then tighen the top nut down to hold the cable in place, then secure lower nut to lock everything in place, now set adjustment at handle bars and see if it don't go into gear alot smoother. If your bike goes into neutral better with the engine off than it does running your clutch is not dis-engauging all the way.

Fidge, if it shifts smooth with the engine off, the clutch is engauging. All though it may be only a small amount of drag, not even enough to move the atv, its enough tension to make it not want to go into neutral. Take some slack out of your clutch and see if it helps.

How do they shift while drag racing or under heavy load? I am asking because i am planning on buying one..
Since we got pretty much all the pred owners in this thread how do you guys like your 04s(predator in general)? Are they still the best bang for your buck even with the 450s out?
