unhooking scrambler 4x4

Default unhooking scrambler 4x4

how would i go about taking my four wheel drive off where i can put it back if i want

I’m going to guess what he's asking is if he can take the whole 4X4 system out of the atv. the front gear box and the drive shafts going to the wheels and the one going to the tranny.

Or maybe he can't find the awd on and off button.

But I think the first one is what he's asking.

Yeah, he wants to take out the front wheel drive system, then put it back when he needs it....


hmm


i wouldnt do that. take it off and leave it off, or leave it in. that would be a big pain.

I think he has a '95 or '96 Scrammy - and the easiest way to disconnect the AWD - if you are worried about power loss turning the front shafts all the time - is to remove the chain from the tranny to the intermediate shaft for the front drive (the chain that is under the cover on the right side floor board)
