Default Chest protector Help

Well as most of you know I broke 3 ribs a week and a 1/2 ago and seem to be recovering good. But, now that I have all the time in the world,I need to find a good chest protector. I already have a thor scatterguard but it didn't work to good for me(3broken ribs,a hole in my lungs, and a cut in the liver)Well the thor guard didn't help at all,I was wearing it but,it didn't protect me on the side I took the hit on.For that matter it dosen't protect at all on the sides and nether dose any other i have seen.
Dose anyone know of a chest protector that dose protect you on the sides?

check out the Nemeses Body Armor. The Fox Airframe, Fox R3 Roost Chest Protector, and the Oneal Defender Chest Protector all seem to provide good protection. All are available from Rocky MT ATV

So you guys don't like/approve of the thor chest protector?? I was thinking of getting one too, and that is the one I was first looking at. If it is no good, then I'll go a different direction.

They are all pretty good. I personally ride with an Answer Edge chest protector. The ones that I mentioned seemed to provide better side protecion which I think is what Matt is looking for after his accident

YOu are going to want one is a hare scramble. Roost hurts, trust me! lol. Also make sure you have your helment and goggles (of course), gloves, jersey, pants, and riding boots. Some handguards would probably be a good investment as well as a camelback drink system. I am sure the GNCC racers would agree

Thanks BBS I have boots, helment and goggles, pants, jersey, and gloves. I don't have handgaurds. Is that a drinking system?? Is there actually time to use that? I noticed that thor makes different protectors, some are chest protectors and some just protect you from roost. Would you still suggest the chest protector? One more thing, how do you guys keep your feet from getting extremely hot. When I wear my boots, especially in the summer, my feet just sweat like crazy. Maybe that is normal too. Thanks. Brad
